In the morning of January 5th, the Vietnam Red Crosss delegation visited and gave Tet gifts to patients in critical and difficult circumstances who are being treated at Viet Duc Hospital.

Attending the program were Mdm. Nguyen Thi Xuan Thu, President of Vietnam Red Cross; Mr. Tran Binh Giang, Director of Viet Duc Hospital, and representatives of technical departments and patients families.

Representatives of Vietnam Red Cross and Viet Duc Hospital gave gifts to patients.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Tran Binh Giang, Director of Viet Duc Hospital said: Viet Duc Hospital and patients treated here are very happy that Vietnam Red Crosss delegation led by Mdm. Nguyen Thi Xuan Thu visits, encourages doctors and staff, and presents gifts to poor patients who are being treated at hospitals. Viet Duc Hospital is one of the medical units focusing on serious patients and patients with serious diseases, which are the cases where the localities have moved here so there are many poor and disadvantaged patients. , 95% of hospital patients use health insurance from the provinces. Therefore, the hospital appreciates the voluntary activities of the Vietnam Red Cross. This is a great encouragement for physicians, health workers who are taking care of people, especially those who suffer from serious diseases and those who suffer from serious illnesses that are treated here.

On behalf of the family, the patients and medical doctors of the hospital Mr. Tran Binh Giang thanked the Vietnam Red Cross and hoped that the charity and social activities will spread more and more that helps sick people.

The program of visiting and giving gifts at the hospital today with the desire to share and encourage the spirit of patients with especially difficult circumstances on the occasion of Lunar New Year – Spring comes and is also the first activity in coordination program of both sides. On behalf of the Vietnam Red Cross, Mdm. Nguyen Thi Xuan Thu sent best wishes to the leadership team, doctors, health workers and hospital patients for a new year.

On this occasion, the delegation gave gifts to 30 patients with serious diseases who are in difficult circumstances being treated at the hospital; each gift worth VND 1,200,000 (of which VND 1,000,000 cash and in-kind value of VND 200,000). Funding is from the support of Vietnam U23 national football team.
