In the morning of November 15, Thanh Hoa Red Cross provincial Chapter coordinated with Quan Hoa district and Hanoi Humanitarian Support Red Cross Centre to organize the groundbreaking ceremony to build 84 houses affected by natural disaster in Trung Son commune, Quan Hoa district.

Accordingly, Ha Noi Humanitarian Support Red Cross Centre has called for and mobilized donors to support the construction of 84 houses for the severely damaged households in Trung Son commune affected by the flood. by. Each house is supported 30 million VND, the total value of the program is 2.52 billion VND.

Quan Hoa district leaders will continue to mobilize other support sources to support the cost of building houses before the Lunar New Year in 2019 for the houses collapsed, totally with the amount of 75 million VND per household of which relocated houses with 40 million VND per household, house of 50-70% damage level with 15 million VND per household.

On the afternoon of the same day, Thanh Hoa Red Cross in cooperation with Tam Binh Pharmaceutical Company and Quan Hoa district organized the bridge groundbreaking ceremony at Chieng village, Trung Son commune.

Accordingly, the project was built with a length of 4.5m, width 5.7m with a total cost of 500 million VND by Tam Binh Pharmaceutical Company support. The bridge will make it easier for 123 households to travel and the learning of more than 100 students is uninterrupted.

According to the report of Quan Hoa district, the rain and flood in 8/2018 has caused 858 houses in the area were flooded, seriously damaged and have to move out of dangerous areas; 177 houses collapsed and washed away. The most severe damage was in Trung Son commune with 357 affected households and 88 households with house collapsed completely. The total value of damage caused by rain and flood in Quan Hoa district is estimated at 185 million VND.

Up to now, the district still has 2 villages still lost power; 7 points of damages; Three commune health stations are submerged; Two bridges spanning Ma River in Phu Xuan and Trung Thanh communes were completely collapsed; 13 forest product processing workshops were flooded, washed away; 11 positions of high voltage post were landslided and completely damaged.
