On February 15th, Hau Giang Red Cross Chapter organized a program to give 50 wheelchairs to people with disabilities in difficult circumstances in Hau Giang province sponsored by Charity Association (Compassion-Canada). .
At the wheelchair presentation, everyone felt the hardship of those with legs but could not walk on their own feet and they were even more miserable. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha, representative of the donor unit, understands all the difficulties of people with disabilities, because he himself is disabled.

Mr. Ha said: “I have a traffic accident and the consequence is impossible to walk, I understand the difficulties that people with disabilities like me, I desire with my remaining strength to share their misfortune. In the near future, I hope to have a chance to return to Hau Giang and carry out many health care programs and livelihood support for Hau Giang people, especially those with disabilities ”.
For families with relatives with disabilities, more than anyone, they need very much share of society. A wheelchair can solve many obstacles for them. Ms. Tran Thi Sen, 49 years old in Ward Binh Thanh, Long My Town was brought by his husband very early to receive a wheelchair. Ms. Sen suffered a labor accident that caused spinal injuries to paralyze the two lower legs. She has to ask for help from relatives. For more than 12 years, her life has been tied to a wheelchair supported by sponsors.
Ms. Sen shared: “On the earlier day, the Red Cross ward branch proposed to ask for a wheelchair. I was very happy because mine at home was old and damaged so it was difficult to travel, thanks to the wheelchair, my life is less sad.
The wheelchair donation program is divided into 2 phases. This is the first phase given to 20 beneficiaries in Vi Thanh city, districts of Vi Thuy and Long My, and Long My town. In the coming time, Hau Giang Red Cross Chapter will continue to receive and hand over 30 remaining wheelchairs and 01 food trolley to patients.
